Bonus Terms Explained: Wagering, Validity & Eligible Games
Most disappointment with bonuses comes from one moment: trying to withdraw and finding a condition you never read. This Lottery Game Bonus explainer takes each common condition in turn — wagering, validity, eligible games, caps and eligibility — and shows where to find the real figure for your own offer. No invented amounts, just how the rules work. 18+.
Quick Answer
Bonus credit is promotional money with rules attached. The main ones are: a wagering requirement (how much you must play before winnings can be withdrawn), a validity period (when unused credit expires), eligible games (what counts towards wagering), caps (limits on what can be withdrawn) and eligibility (who may claim). Every figure lives on the offer screen in the app — read it before you tap claim.
Bonus Balance vs Cash Balance

Most platforms keep two separate pots. Your cash balance is money you deposited plus winnings that are already withdrawable. Your bonus balance holds promotional credit and, often, winnings made with that credit until its conditions are met.
The wallet screen normally shows both. If your total looks larger than the amount you can withdraw, the difference is almost always bonus money still locked by its terms. Knowing which pot you are playing from is the first step to understanding every other rule below.
Wagering Requirements
A wagering requirement — also called play-through or turnover — is the total value of bets you must place before bonus winnings become withdrawable. It is usually written as a multiple of the bonus. If an offer says “5×”, you need to place bets adding up to five times the bonus amount. Bets count by their stake, whether they win or lose.
Two details catch people out. First, some offers apply the multiple to the bonus plus the deposit that unlocked it, not just the bonus. Second, the requirement normally has to be completed within the validity period, or the credit is removed.
| What the Offer Says | What It Means |
|---|---|
| “1× wagering” | Bet the bonus amount once in total before withdrawing. |
| “N× the bonus” | Bet N times the bonus amount in total. |
| “N× bonus + deposit” | Bet N times the combined bonus and deposit. |
| “No wagering” | Winnings from the credit are withdrawable once any other condition is met. |
The multiples above illustrate how the wording works; the multiple for your offer is the one printed on its offer screen.
Validity and Expiry
Every bonus has a shelf life. Validity can mean two things: how long you have to claim the offer once it appears, and how long you have to use and clear the credit once claimed. When either window closes, unused credit — and sometimes uncleared winnings — is removed.
The practical rule: only claim a bonus when you are ready to play within its window. Claiming early “so you do not miss it” often just means watching it expire. Check the expiry date in the bonus wallet after claiming; it is usually shown beside the credit.
Eligible Games and Contributions
Not every game always counts towards wagering. An offer may be limited to certain formats — for example colour prediction or Wingo rounds — or may count some games at a reduced percentage. Bets on excluded games may still be allowed but simply do not reduce the requirement.
Some offers also exclude bets that cover both sides of an outcome at once, since they carry almost no risk. If you are unsure whether a bet counts, the offer rules or in-app support can confirm it before you place it. Our lottery games overview explains how the main formats work.
Caps and Withdrawal Conditions
Two kinds of limit often appear. A maximum bet rule restricts how much you can stake per round while using bonus credit. A maximum cash-out rule limits how much of the winnings from a bonus can be withdrawn, with anything above it removed when the bonus converts.
Separately from the bonus, the withdrawal page has its own conditions — verification, bank or UPI details in your own name and sometimes a minimum withdrawal. Those are covered step by step in our withdrawal guide.
Who Is Eligible
Offers are normally limited to one per person, often checked by mobile number, device and payment method together. Opening extra accounts to claim the same welcome offer again is the most common reason bonuses — and sometimes whole balances — are removed. Some offers also need a verified number or a first deposit before they activate.
Gift codes have their own eligibility rules too; see the gift code guide for the common restrictions.
Reading an Offer Screen
Before you tap claim, find the answer to each of these questions on the offer screen. If any is missing, ask in-app support first.
- How much credit is added, and to which balance?
- What is the wagering multiple, and does it apply to the bonus alone or bonus plus deposit?
- How long do I have to claim it, and how long to clear it?
- Which games count, and at what rate?
- Is there a maximum bet or maximum cash-out?
- Does anything else need to happen first — verification, a deposit, a code?
If the answers make the offer unattractive, decline it. Playing without a bonus keeps every winning withdrawable under the normal rules.
Play Responsibly (18+)
A bonus is extra play, not a reason to deposit more or play longer than you planned. Wagering requirements should never push you into chasing a target. These games are for adults aged 18 and over and are entertainment only.
Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions about wagering, validity and other bonus conditions.
What does a wagering requirement mean?
It is the amount you must play through — usually written as a multiple of the bonus, such as “5×” — before winnings made with bonus credit can be withdrawn. A 5× requirement means placing bets adding up to five times the bonus amount.
Is a lower wagering requirement better?
Generally yes. The lower the multiple, the less you need to play before winnings become withdrawable. A larger bonus with a much higher multiple can be harder to clear than a smaller one with a low multiple.
What happens when a bonus expires?
Unused bonus credit — and sometimes winnings still tied to it — is usually removed when the validity period ends. The expiry date is shown on the offer screen or in the bonus wallet.
Do all games count towards wagering?
Not always. Some offers count only certain games, or count some games at a reduced rate. The offer rules list which games are eligible and how much each contributes.
Why can I not withdraw my whole balance?
Your balance may include bonus credit that has not been cleared, or the offer may cap how much can be withdrawn from bonus winnings. Check the bonus wallet and the offer rules to see which part is withdrawable.
Where do I find the exact terms for my bonus?
On the offer screen in the app’s promotions or activity section, and sometimes in a “rules” or “details” link beside the bonus in your wallet. Those in-app terms always override any general guide.
Who can claim bonuses?
Adults aged 18 and over, usually with one account per person, device and payment method. Bonuses are entertainment credit, never income.
